Let me ask you, do you have a job where you sit on your butt a lot and you just kind of feel like sitting on your butt after work too?
Are you experiencing stiffness and even back pain in your body?
Do you feel uninspired to exercise because your body just doesn’t feel good?
The best way to get out of a rutt of sitting on your butt is to Dance.
When you dance, and enjoy moving your hips and booty, you’re gonna naturally release fluids that’ll lubricate the ligaments in your back and your hips.
And when you start feeling GOOD in your body, you feel inspired to use your body and play in your body everyday, and enjoy essential activities like walking and stretching because they’ll feel good, and your body will feel good, fun, sexy, and pleasurable.
If you find yourself “stuck in the rut of sitting on your butt,” you may find it hard to actually DO my dance videos the first few times.
While I was putting my dance videos up on-line–I actually found myself falling into the “rut of sitting on my butt.” I put Dancing as one of my last priorities and put lots of business to-do items and time with my boyfriend at the top of my list. Oh, the life of an entrepreneur in love! Not a bad life for sure.
But guess what? I gained a little weight.
And, I have been feeling really frustrated because I have not been keeping some big commitments I have made with myself.
Commitments like dancing in the mirror everyday. Scheduling time for pleasure everyday. Nurturing myself and taking care of my body everyday.
And it feels REALLY BAD to break commitments or agreements that I have made with myself.
And I have noticed that the more frustrated I feel with myself, the more resistance I build up to actually doing something about it. Now that is a frustration loop that can just keep growing.
Can you relate to what I am saying?
In a word: Samba.
I scheduled a dance class with a local Samba teacher. I looked forward to it all week. I organized my entire day around going to it. And I went and I danced and I have to say I just feel amazing!
I KNEW I would feel amazing after I did it. I knew it was time to end the frustration loop and get this dance class in my calendar and up in my priority list in my life.
And I can not over-emphasize the importance of scheduling time to do my dance videos. Put it in your calendar. Look forward to it. Plan your day around it.
Let endorphins and the pleasure of shaking your hips and booty have their way with you, beauty!
Indulge in this delicious pleasure. Indulge in learning something new. Indulge in connecting with your body, mind, and spirit.
And enjoy honoring the commitments you have made with yourself–to have more fun in your life; to take wonderful, loving care of yourself; to dance and laugh and play.
